Happy Sprouts
Complete brand transformation for a family business Van der Plas in sprouts, from visual identity to website.
Happy Sprouts kept shifting direction visually, which meant a consistent brand had not really been able to take shape. The assignment was large and wide-ranging: all of the ideas needed to be made visual and tangible. Not just in a logo, but in color, tone of voice, photography, and the day-to-day practice of the business.
Vision - "We believe that food shouldn't just be nutritious, but also bring joy. Our sprouts add a healthy dose of energy to your meal and your day. Colorful, cheerful, and a touch rebellious."
Approach - With so many ideas in play, the first step was creating order. The vision called for a brand that isn't ordinary: one that translates joy and energy into something visible: colorful, bold, and easy to apply consistently across every touchpoint, from packaging to website. That same cheerful, slightly rebellious spirit shaped every visual choice, from the color palette to the tone of voice and photography. The original logo was kept, but slightly edited. The website was designed as part of the identity, with developer Nick Wijkhuizen making it technically achievable. An internal training course was also developed for the team, focused on safeguarding food safety within the company.

The work - Full brand identity (logo, color, typography, tone of voice) - Website design, inclusive internal course: learn.happysprouts.nl (development: Nick Wijkhuizen) - Food truck design - Trade show stand design - Art direction for photoshoots - Flyers, posters & presentations - Packaging design - Interior styling for showroom & signage.
Result - Happy Sprouts now has a brand that's recognizable everywhere and that keeps leaving its mark, step by step, across everything the company does, from website to packaging to trade show.
